Our unique method can get you ready for ISO certification in as quick as 30 days with no compromises.
The ISO 14001 Standard:
Accreditation bodies accredit Certification Bodies, who in turn certify YOU. The following illustrates the chain of command:
There are several globally recognised Accreditation bodies such as ANAB (ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board) for US based organisations. There are many other accreditation bodies throughout the world including: JAS-ANZ (the Joint- Accreditation System for Australia and New Zealand), UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) and SAC (Singapore Accreditation Council).
These Accreditation bodies do not provide certification to global standards such as ISO 9001. Instead, they provide accreditation to certification bodies who in turn provide you with globally recognised certification services for your business.
Accreditation bodies do not prepare or publish ISO standards.
The role of accreditation bodies is to:
Accredit certification bodies to carry certification audits for participating businesses who want recognition through certification
Police certification bodies to ensure they provide accurate auditing services and that auditing standards are maintained
Provide a compliance registry
Provide a point of contact for you to lodge a complaint if you’re not happy with the performance or ruling of your chosen certification body
Provide a point of contact for complaints if a supplier who holds certification is not behaving appropriately.
